Bringing the joy of music to children across North Texas

WELCOME TO NORTH TEXAS AOSA

Orff Schulwerk is a music education approach in which students are guided through a process of musical development using speech, singing, moving, and playing instruments as learning tools. Composer Carl Orff and his associate Gunild Keetman evolved the philosophy and processes of this unique approach, which places much importance on improvisation and creation.

The North Texas Chapter is a group of over 150 music instructors, mostly in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, who use this approach in their classrooms and studios. We provide Saturday workshops with nationally known Orff Schulwerk clinicians to present methods for using the Orff-Schulwerk process with students of all ages.
